The New Rules of Marksmanship Preparation For The Unexpected

Hey guys, I’m Chris Sajnog. In this post, I’m going to teach you the New Rules of Marksmanship’s preparation for the unexpected and the importance of building strong neural pathways. Let’s go ahead and get started.

What Is a Neural Pathway

Anytime you do a movement, you build a neural pathway inside your brain. And you’re insulating that or your brain is insulating that with myelin. We developed this ability, over many years of getting chased by lions and tigers and whatnot.

Our brain would go, whatever you did just now, we’re still alive, so I want to ensure we do that faster and easier next time. That little neural impulse will shoot down, and it insulates it. So it can happen faster and faster.

Chris Sajnog explains how neutral pathways works

Building Neural Pathways

Next in the new rules of marksmanship, we build these in shooting through dry fire training and doing perfect repetition. By doing this and making sure that we do it right, we are putting more insulation around now, when you are under stress

Because we’ve practiced that perfect draw and shoot, over and over, we have a fully insulated neural pathway. So we know what to do, we’ve got a trigger, that there’s a threat, and we send that impulse

Practice The Right Way

It doesn’t matter what the stressor is, what matters is that you practice repeatedly and build strong neural pathways to be able to respond to whatever happens.

If you want to be able to respond to anything and everything, just make sure that you continue practicing the basics.

Keep learning the New Rules of Marksmanship to be prepared for the unexpected and as I say keep paving your path to perfection.
